Kicked off our Father’s Day weekend with a special Bavarian Oktoberfest themed food, beer and live music event in Potters Bar!

in association with Oktoberfest Food and Fun and Walden Farms

A hard fought advertising campaign with the support of our event management at Oktoberfest Food and Fun has finally achieved a deserved outcome of a wonderful evening at the Clayton Center!

The event was fantastic and people appreciated what we did! Pillars Brewery unfortunately backed off from the deal but this didn’t mean less experience in terms of good beers for the event. We sourced original beers brewed in Saxony, Bavaria and one of the owners county of origin, that is the region of Rhineland-Palatinate.

The history file
The Radeberger Beer:  The brewhouse is located in Radeberg near Dresdner. In the year 1835 the Saxon King Friedrich August II personally acquired these chambers and expanded them to become a brewery which, along with the court’s demand for wine, was also to satisfy its thirst for beer.  Source: own research

Bitburger Pils:  Bitburger brewery is a large German brewery founded in 1817 by Johann Wallenborn. Bitburger is headquartered in Bitburg, Rhineland-Palatinate. Over the years Bitburger became Germany’s number 1 of draught beers. Source Wiki

Paulaner Beer Muenchner Hell: Paulaner is a German brewery, established in 1634 in Munich by the Minim friars of the Neudeck ob der Au cloister. The mendicant order and the brewery are named after Francis of Paola, the founder of the order. Source Wiki

Again, customers for the bratwurst and currywurst as well as other snacks not to forget to mention the lovely pastry items including pretzels were full of praise. We got star ratings for taste, excellent customer service and top entertainment.

Walden Farms chose a Bavarian Oktoberfest Food event to market their new products and it is understood that the American corporation had just entered the UK market.

Neville Collman, the UK sales manager for Walden Farms, was equally happy and his wide selection of condiments including strawberry flavored sauces (latter was the top sampling sauce as we understood!).

The stage was set … painstakingly prepared from the early hours of the afternoon and John Freejah took center stage throughout the night with fantastic music from country, rock and blues.

The Clayton Center grounds were rocking and it even seemed that the constant concert of honking horns on the streets of ‚Potters Bar on a Saturday night‘ halted in order to not sully the purity of the delicate notes.

The boss was quick to publish an article on his twitter wall in tribute to an outstanding performance of a newcomer musician and in his effort to find to attract support for this talented musician. Stefan Schenkelberg added:  „Feel free to connect with me on facebook and watch John playing at Clayton Center.“

People enjoyed the music and we had hobby musicians invited to take center stage. Phil impressed by playing a few tunes on the Fender guitar. ...a true sampling event it was! Phil has apparently earned his living at his young age writing songs and he apparently wrote the lyrics for a number of celebrities such as Phil Collins etc.

Phi,l the hobby musician in action

He admitted: „I am not so good on the guitar but I am a bloody good song writer.“ A Potters Bar man with strong ties in the Philippines. He has his family living in the Philippines where he has recently invested into a large infrastructural project where he previously helped building a school for orphans.

All in all, we have been satisfied with the event. It’s the local presence that matters for us! We certainly have made our brand known in Potters Bar and it is now a matter of time when our company gets established this wonderful area just North of London; discussions are under way with the venue owners to have a more permanent spot at the Clayton Center and fingers crossed we will soon announce some updates on our plans for Potters Bar.
