Stefan explained the current situation as follows: „It’s been dramatic for us. Raising money for charity off our own back, with no support makes it the more difficult when we also lack of a reasonable turnout of customers on our new permanent trading spot.
It’s been a double edged sword scenario we are in. On the one hand, we experience a significant increase of visitors to our website and have managed to pre-book a significant number of festivals this year, on the other hand our stall lacks of customers during the week and if you can’t turn around this trend we will eventually be ending up giving up our business.“
„Well, we have lorries and vans pulling in but most of them only come for deliveries once/twice a month.“ Stefan said. „Funny enough, we have more vans from other areas outside the industrial estate pulling in then the workers of the industrial estates themselves.“ he added.
The couple hopes that the recent development when one of the local papers offered to help with a bit of publicity will give them an edge over our competitors in the industrial estate. German food is renowned to be of quality so this may or may not prove to be an advantage to them.
