Marylebone village

p style=“text-align:left“>We got, it seems, the ball rolling. Rainer’s Bavarian Grill without food and beer will be a thing of the past I hope. To a good Bratwurst a good beer is mandatory. I am sure this is no concern as the people of Westminster are well accustomed to German culture. My email to the organisers of Marylebone markets.

Here it goes:
———–
Hi again……. ,

Thanks for your kind response.

I have now had the opportunity to look at the offered market in the church grounds off the high street. I also did some research. It appears that a German bakery/restaurant ‚fischer‘ is on the high street.

I was surprised that you haven’t had any traders yesterday. The pitch area is fine and it looks like we can only use a generator for the power supply.

Our food trailer is unique in terms of the shape but also in terms of the offerings. As you may be aware we have a Bavarian Hofbrauhaus themed stall (the Hofbrauhaus is famous in the world for the birthplace of the Oktoberfest). Having said this we would need to facilitate both, quality food and quality beers. The church ground offers an idyllic place to serve the quality footfall of Westminster’s prestigious Marylebone village.

I will now need to make inquiries with the LB of Westminster to find out about TEN’s. As I have some friends among the councillors I wouldn’t expect any problems or concern.

Please can you confirm the trading hours on a Thursday and also on Saturdays.

I look forward to your further reply.

Kind regards
Stefan

Prospective events this summer

Rainer’s Bavarian Grill has become somewhat popular among events organisers. We have managed to discuss possibilities for our ‚can‘. The following events have been made available to us to attend:

1 Upwards with Downs Charity fun day on Sunday 17th July 2016 at The Link, Harlow, Essex

2 regular events: Cabbages and Frocks Market at Marylebone Thursdays and Saturdays

3 Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebrations Hip hip hooray! London Marylebone
Sat 11th June 11-5pm & Sun 12th June 12-6pm

4 The Big Event with our friends at Southend Community in Harmony – 18th September

5 Coggeshall carnival, every year a must-attend event. This year on Saturday 16th July

In addition we look at attending the Basildon and Pitsea Carnival in September where we will need to have back a prime location in the centre of the festival grounds.

We will make decisions very soon, based on our viability checks etc.

It will be a challenging few months and we look forward to grow our business.

Food safety paramount

Rainer’s Bavarian Grill penalised

This email was sent today to explain the situation:
——————-
……..

On another note, we have so far. 5 weeks traded, received 4 penalty charge notices amounting to £520. I have posted a letter appealing all charges. Please find two images attached showing the latest appeals we have lodged with the Council. Unless the Council does something about it we are risking to cause more contraventions. We do not risk our customers health for ill-designed trader’s parking restrictions and I refer to your policy. I expect we will have fines imposed for around £500 each month and urge the Council to do something to prevent us from the contravention. Our food trailer is not safe until I can tick off all boxes, after-trade cleaning methods and procedures mustn’t be interfered with and of course…procedures have to be quickly carried out to prevent bacteria from spreading in the food areas.

This automated camera picture taking programming has to be adjusted to meet all traders requirements including those that deal with food and ultimately with bacteria.

I trust you’ll understand (letters have just been posted and will arrive at the respective council departments by tomorrow).

Kind regards,
Stefan

I am aware that the Councils main concern is to raise revenue and they do everything possible even using cameras for crime prevention to manipulate to hold their traders accountable if they are not leaving at a certain time.

I’ll keep you updated as things progress
